Rice Dumplings

Ingredients

Rice flour 2 cups
Scraped coconut 1 cup
Cumin seeds ½ tsp
Par boiled rice 100g (roasted and powdered)


 

 

           

Method of Preperation

Make a dough mixing the rice flour, scraped coconut, cumin seeds and salt with hot water.

Make small balls of even size out of the dough. Sprinkle a little rice flour on the balls so that they don’t stick together

In a kadai, pour 4 cups of water and bring it to boil.

On boiling put the small balls in the water and let it boil for 4-5 minutes.

Add powdered parboiled rice to it and on thickening remove from flame

Pidi is a great combination with chicken curry.
